Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation Holiday Labor of Love Event Slated for Dec. 17
The Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation will host its annual Holiday Labor of Love event on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, from TIME to TIME at PLACE.
Sponsored by Charlotte Metro Foundation who is funding and supporting this year’s event with staff volunteers, MBFF will distribute gift cards, food, and gift bags to 125 families facing food insecurities in collaboration with Freedom Communities, a “place-based” organization that focuses on the Freedom Drive Corridor of West Charlotte to work holistically with families in the interconnected areas of housing, employment, education and health and wellness.
The inaugural Holiday Labor of Love, held in 2021, provided 93 families (376 individuals) with holiday joy in the form of food boxes, turkeys, pies, water, grocery gift cards, fun giveaways, and more. The MBFF also distributed holiday gift bags to women and children living at the Salvation Army Center of Hope due to homelessness.
Mr. George Shinn, Healthy Blue NC, CPI Securities, Food Lion, Lowe’s and Lover’s Fresh Baked are also sponsors of the Dec. 17th event.
