Muggsy Bogues’ career arose from storied beginnings at Dunbar High School in Baltimore and Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem to Landover as the Washington Bullets’ 12th overall pick in the 1987 NBA Draft. Before long he was the face of the Charlotte Hornets, sparking the offense with timely buckets and dishing to Alonzo Mourning, Larry Johnson and Kendall Gill.
