MUGGSY BOGUES FAMILY FOUNDATION HOSTS THANKSGIVING LABOR OF LOVE

The non-profit organization partners with community agencies and sponsors for its annual food distribution events

The Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation (MBFF) will host its second annual Thanksgiving Labor of Love food distribution event on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 12-2 p.m. at Wray Ward.

Sponsored by Food Lion, Healthy Blue NC, Panthers Charities and ZLW Construction Management Group, approximately [INSERT NUMBER OF FAMILIES] families and individuals facing food insecurity will receive necessities to support them through the holiday season. Items include food and gas gift cards, hygiene kits, health education and resources like blood pressure screenings and vaccines, workforce development, and perishable and non-perishable food items for their Thanksgiving meals.

Additional event partners include Loaves & Fishes, The Bulb, Charlotte Community Health Clinic, Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, She Built This City, The Odd Sock, America’s Tooth Fairy, Atrium Health, Care Ring, Charlotte Community Health Center, East Voyager Academy, Families Forward Charlotte, Firebirds, Harvest Center of Charlotte, Hope
Haven, Mecklenburg County, Mental Health America of Central Carolinas, RunningWorks and Wayfinders.

By the end of this year, the MBFF will have hosted nine Labor of Love events since its establishment. This community initiative is vital to the most vulnerable residents of Charlotte in this great time of need, especially during the holidays.
